Our Corporate Support Coordinator plays a key role in developing and implementing a compelling package for businesses and organisations to support FareShare GM, which includes running corporate days (team building and volunteering in the FSGM operation) as well as other ways for organisations to engage with us such as sponsorship, fundraising activities, events and so on.
You'll take a proactive lead in coordinating the activities of corporate partners, in conjunction with the FSGM Operations team, staff and volunteers, to ensure successful outcomes for all. You'll build and maintain positive relationships with all our stakeholders including FareShare UK, our customers and the wider community to optimise the benefits of corporate engagement activities.
The successful candidate will need to:
- have proven experience in building relationships with external stakeholders
- have strong communication skills including creating and giving presentations and writing compelling content for external audiences
- have a proven ability to work independently, set priorities and manage deadlines
- be able to work calmly and efficiently in a busy office environment
- have experience gathering, maintaining and analysing data for reporting purpose
- be enthusiastic about what we do and be able to share that with others
- have strong IT literacy and numeracy skills

In October 2022 Salford City Council commissioned Salford CVS to undertake research into the strengths of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector as part of their Joint Needs and Strengths Assessment.
Every three years since 2008, Salford CVS leads on State of the VCSE Sector research in Salford and also across Greater Manchester. Working with other local infrastructure organisations, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the VCSE sector. Our last research report was published in 2021 and we have started planning for the research to be conducted this year.
In August 2023 we further developed our VCSE sector research and insight work with the commencement of our Salford 99 longitudinal study. This research project is designed to understand the issues affecting the VCSE sector in Salford and aims to track 99 VCSE organisations every six months for a three-year period, so that we gain ‘live’ insight in between our three-yearly State of the VCSE sector large research project. Alongside this work we conduct a Pulse Check survey with a variety of VCSE organisations to get a snapshot of what is changing for them each quarter.
This exciting VCS Research and Insight role involves a combination of VCSE engagement and insight work across Salford.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of research, data collection, analysis and excellent report-writing skills
- Will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment within a team of dedicated, friendly people who believe in making a difference
- Has fantastic organisational skills – able to multitask and work effectively in a busy team environment
- Is able to effectively engage with a wide range of VCSE groups and organisations

Who We're Looking For:
At NEF, we're searching for a passionate and dedicated person to join us as an Associate Community Organiser. You will have experience of making change happen with communities impacted by inequality. You will be passionate about developing people and working with diverse communities to enable people to make change happen together. You will be a team player, be keen to learn new skills and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be located with a partner organisation rooted in one of four locations across the UK, Nottingham, Greater Manchester, Lambeth, and Newham. You will bring community organising into the work of the organisation and place it right at the centre of the Power to Prosper programme.
Power to Prosper is a partnership project between The Runnymede Trust and New Economics Foundation aimed at tackling the underlying causes of poverty, inequality, and problem debt in the United Kingdom. The project recognises that the existing economic system leads to profound inequalities that disproportionately impact marginalised groups, including Black and minority ethnic communities, single-parent families, and households with disabled members. The programme will also take an intersectional lens with a strong emphasis on race equity.
This work will involve working with NEF and Runnymede teams to listen to people about the causes and potential solutions of inequality, poverty, and problem debt and to equip people that are most impacted with the skills to act together at a local, regional, and national level to address those issues. The successful candidate will report to a Community Organiser. The post sits in the Campaigns and Engagement Team at the New Economics Foundation, and you will work closely with colleagues at the Runnymede Trust. You must have a demonstrable commitment to anti-racism and have a track record of working with impacted groups with a good understanding of the wider context that causes inequality.
